Position: Seasonal
Hours per week: 39 – attractive hourly rates – sociable hours (no early mornings or late evenings)
Reports to: General Manager
General description: To provide service excellence to visitors to our Water park and to the Bundoran Seaweed Baths. Provide support to all staff members.
Experience Required
-
- Ideally experience in a management or senior leisure attendant role within the Sports & Leisure industry.
- Experience Teaching children’s and adult swimming lessons desirable but not essential.
- Experience working in a busy environment with extensive programs over the week, with responsibility for opening and/or closing shift, cash handling and management of overall shift operational safety and standards, IT skills, roster preparation and staff training.
- A strong interest in marketing (Ideal)
- Knowledge of BMS(Building Management System) an advantage, but training will be included.
- Pool plant qualification desirable but not essential as course can be provided.
Qualifications Desirable (but not essential)
- Swim Ireland Level 1 (ideal but not essential)
- IWS/RLSS Pool Lifeguard Qualification in date or willingness to become a Lifegaurd.
- Pool Plant Operator.(Ideal but not essential)
- First Aid responder Certificate.(Ideal but not essential)
- Be available for Garda Vetting.
Responsibilities
- Day to Day running of shifts in a busy swimming pool environment inclusive of opening the building, ensuring all appropriate Health & Safety operational standards and met and maintained throughout the shift.
- Assist in the appointment. Training and discipline of staff.
- Willingness to learn, follow and implement our Health and Safety standards.
- Maintain relevant qualifications.
- Working in a large diverse team this role should provide leadership to all co-workers.
- Manage customer interactions from all booking queries for both individuals & groups/schools, birthday parties.
- Ensure compliance with all Child Welfare & Safety Standards within our Normal Operating procedures.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the functions of a swimming pool/Water Features.
- Maintain adequate Plant room checks and standards throughout the shift.
- Maintain all cleaning and routine roster duties during the relevant shift.
- Prepare reports as necessary, provide statistical information that may be required,
- Advising General Manager/Operations manager of any repairs to building and plant room that may be required, and provide advice on the maintenance and replacement of equipment when appropriate.
- Cover Senior Life Guard Position where required.
- Learn how to operate the BMS.
