White Flag Award
The White Flag Award for Spa & Leisure is the quality mark that all leisure facilities must strive to achieve. It highlights to our customers, staff and the general public that Waterworld is committed to achieving the highest standards of quality in the Leisure Industry.
Launched in 2001, it is an independently audited award, recognised throughout the Leisure Industry and endorsed by Failte Ireland and The Irish Hotels Federation.
In order to qualify for the award, it is imperative that we recognise, implement and monitor criteria including;
- Disability Awareness
- Maintenance and Hygiene
- Energy Management
- Pool water and Environmental tests
- Recycling and Waste reduction
- Eco-friendly approach to purchasing
- Staff and customer awareness in respect of White Flag ethos
In addition, two specialist awards are presented annually - The Disability Provision Category and Training Ethos Awards. Bundoran Waterworld has been shortlisted for Training Ethos Awards in 2005 and 2007.
We take this opportunity to thank-you for your support and welcome your contribution to achieving and maintaining this award.
